Tableaux to highlight Vande Mataram legacy, Aatmanirbhar Bharat

The Republic Day Parade 2026 tableaux will be showcased under two broad themes — "Svatantrata Ka Mantr – Vande Mataram” and "Samriddhi Ka Mantr – Aatmanirbhar Bharat”, marking 150 years of the national song. Of the 30 tableaux approved, 17 will represent States and Union Territories and 13 Central ministries. Gujarat and Chhattisgarh will focus on Vande Mataram, while Assam, Maharashtra and West Bengal will highlight crafts, festivals and freedom struggle narratives.

Delhi on high alert, traffic curbs and QR parking in place

Security preparations for the Republic Day parade in Delhi have been completed, with Delhi Police deploying over 30,000 personnel and 70 paramilitary companies across the city. Around 4,000 traffic police will regulate movement along the parade route. Several key roads will remain closed, while spectators will use QR-based parking guidance. Commuters have been advised to follow the traffic advisory and avoid the parade route during peak hours.
