Rain alert for AP amid low pressure; temperatures rise in Telangana

Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority said that a deep depression is continuing to form over the South Andaman Sea and is likely to move west-northwestwards and intensify into a cyclonic circulation over the South Andaman Sea adjoining the southeast Bay of Bengal by November 24. It is likely to intensify into a cyclonic circulation over the next 48 hours.

On Monday, light to moderate rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Prakasam, Nellore, YSR Kadapa, Annamaya, Chittoor and Tirupati districts, and farmers are advised to take appropriate precautions regarding their crops, PADMA said.

Meanwhile, the influence of the cyclonic circulation has reduced the intensity of cold in Telangana as temperatures have risen.

Districts such as Adilabad recorded 13.2°C, up from single digit temperatures last week. Medak recorded 14°C followed by Patancheru, Hayatnagar, Nalgonda, Ramagundam, Dundigal, Nizamabad, Hyderabad among others.
