Panic has gripped Maharishi Devaraha Baba Medical College in Uttar Pradesh following the shocking discovery of a  body inside a fifth-floor water tank. The incident has sent the campus into chaos, especially as students had been consuming water from the tank for approximately a week, with the body reportedly present for ten days. The water source also supplied the college canteen, triggering serious hygiene concerns.

Kotwali police promptly removed the body in the presence of college officials and doctors. While the identity of the deceased remains unknown, foul play is strongly suspected, with investigators believing the person may have been murdered and dumped in the tank. District authorities have sealed the water tank and formed a special inquiry committee to investigate the matter further.

The Food Department has also inspected the area, flagging poor sanitation standards and reprimanding the college and its Principal, Dr. Rajesh Baranwal, for failing to maintain proper hygiene. A report on the incident is expected within 24 hours as police continue their probe into the suspected murder.
