2 minors drown in quarry pit near Madurai
In a tragic incident, 2 children drown in a quarry pit filled with water on Sunday. The victims were identified as Ashiq Raja (3), son of Sultan Khan from Pandian Kottai, and his cousin Syeda Ali Sahana (9), as per the reports.
Initial investigations reveal, Raja slipped into the water, to save him Sahana jumped in and the two drowned in the pit. The bodies were subsequently sent for post mortem examination.
