3 elephants found dead In Tamil Nadu private forest; 6 deaths in 3 months
Three elephants, including a calf, were found dead under mysterious circumstances in a privately owned forest in Vellore district on Thursday, triggering a joint Tamil Nadu–Andhra Pradesh investigation. The carcasses were located in Bhaimala, a private forest abutting the Kondapalli Reserved Forest and close to the Koundinya Wildlife Sanctuary, an interstate elephant corridor.
Authorities say field staff on routine patrol detected "two old carcasses of elephant and one calf in a decayed state near a waterhole." The spot falls within Tamil Nadu's territorial limits, around 4–5 kilometres from the Andhra Pradesh border.

Israel launches fresh strikes on Lebanon after warnings
Israeli raids hit south Lebanon on Thursday as its military said it was striking Hezbollah weapons storage facilities, a day after Lebanese and Israeli civilian representatives held their first direct talks in decades.
Despite a November 2024 ceasefire that was supposed to end more than a year of hostilities between Israel and the Iran-backed militant group, Israel has kept up strikes on Lebanon and has also maintained troops in five south Lebanon areas it deems strategic.

Prachi Sethi, co-founder and designer at This Is It Studio, has caught the internet’s attention after sharing an emotional post on X about her experience of landing in Delhi amid persistently high pollution levels.
"One of the most jarring sights of my life. I don’t say that lightly,” Sethi wrote in her post, after landing in the national capital. She said that within hours of arriving from Ahmedabad, she felt her "eyes burning,” her throat giving out, and her sinuses shutting down, despite wearing a mask for most of her trip.
