New Delhi: Popular Bhojpuri Actor Pawan Singh has received death threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. It is believed that the actor received the threat due to working with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. The actor reportedly received the threat from an unknown WhatsApp number. A complaint regarding the matter has been filed with the Mumbai Police.

The threat was made by a person named Babloo on behalf of the gang. He allegedly sent these messages to associates of Pawan Singh. A screenshot of messages has now gone viral. The message read, "Tell Pawan Singh he doesn't answer my phone; his countdown begins today. He works with Salman Khan, right? We'll kill him in Lucknow. We'll shoot him anywhere in the world. Bablu from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. If you don't know, ask Upendra Kushwaha or Pappu Yadav who Lawrence Bishnoi is. Pawan Singh pretends to be a big hero. Tell him to call me. You can find my brother's number on Google. His dream of working with Salman Khan will remain unfulfilled. He should never work with Salman Khan again."

Pawan Singh’s manager approaches Mumbai Police

After receiving the message, Pawan Singh’s manager contacted the Mumbai Police immediately and requested him to provide security. The Mumbai Police have registered the complaint and have started probing the matter. As per the complaint, the threatening calls were received on December 6 at 10:48 and 10:50 pm. Two more calls were received on December 7 at 7:13 and 7:15 pm.

The complaint added that Pawan Singh was threatened not to work with Salman Khan, and threatened dire consequences if the actor did so. The Mumbai Police are looking to trace the number from which the threat messages and calls were made. The probe is going on into the entire incident.

"The individuals making the threats are claiming to be members of the 'Lawrence Bishnoi Gang' and threatening dire consequences. They are also demanding money and causing immense fear, stress, and mental strain to my team members,” the manager wrote in his complaint.

Bishnoi gang has repeatedly threatened Salman Khan

It may be noted that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has been repeatedly threatening Salman Khan for the last few years. The members of the gang believe that the superstar made a mistake in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. It is because of this reason that the gang has constantly targeted Salman Khan and his close associates. Importantly, Pawan Singh is working with Salman Khan in an upcoming Bollywood movie, which is a remake of a Bhojpuri.
