New Delhi: Gangster Sunil Sardhania has taken responsibility for the murder of Rohit Shokeen of Gurgaon that took place yesterday. In a post on social media, the gangster said that it was he who orchestrated the crime.
He wrote in the post, "If singer Rahul Fazilpuria does not pay the money, many people will die in this fight." As of now, Gurugram police are investigating this viral social media post. Earlier, Sunil Sardhania had also taken the responsibility of firing at Rahul Fazilpuria on social media.
Unknown assailants disguised as food and grocery deliverymen shot a man dead in Sector 77 of Gurgaon. The incident took place in front of Palm Hills Society on SPR Road on Monday night.
Police said the victim has been identified as Rohit Shokeen (40), a resident of Kamruddin Nagar in Delhi, who had come to Gurgaon for some work. They said that Shokeen was standing outside his car near Ullawas market in Sector 77 area when the attackers, wearing T-shirts of the 'Zomato' and 'Blinkit' companies, opened fire on him and fled.
Police said that the attackers fired more than a dozen bullets, out of which five or six bullets hit Shokeen, and he died on the spot. He said that an FIR has been registered at the Kherki Daula police station.
Manesar Additional Police Commissioner Virendra Saini said, "The motive behind the murder is not yet known. The case is being investigated, and the accused will be arrested soon." Police said that the case is being investigated from every angle and CCTV footage is being scanned to identify the accused.
