Goa nightclub fire: Crowd shouts "Aag laga di", laughs the moment the blaze starts

Within seconds, flames began to spread rapidly across the upper structure. The club's interiors were built using bamboo slats, palm leaves and other flammable material.

An unseen video from the Goa nightclub fire tragedy has surfaced online. A new video from inside Goa's Romeo Night Club, also known as Birch by Romeo Lane, shows a clearer picture of how the fire started. The viral video also captures the initial reactions of the crowd to the fire.

The video shows Kazak dancer, Kristina, performing on the stage when the fire broke out. While the Kazak dancer was performing the belly dance, electronic firecrackers were set off. The sparks from the firecrackers shot up, touching the bamboo-lined ceiling of the club.

The crowd enjoying the performance noticed he sparks and swiftly alerted the dancer. Unaware of the gravity of the situation, some men in the crowd were heard laughing. Some men from the crowd were also heard telling he dancer that her performance had set the stage on fire.
