New Delhi: In Haryana's Sikanderpur village in Sirsa, a man has allegedly strangled his mother and a neighbour, her suspected lover, to death.
The incident took place on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday, and following that, the accused man took the bodies to the police station, according to reports quoting police officials.
The accused has been identified as 25-year-old Raj Kumar. He allegedly found his mother having an affair with their neighbour inside his house. According to a report by the Hindustan Times, the deceased have been identified as 42-year-old Anguri Devi and 55-year-old Lekh Raj.
On Friday morning, Raj Kumar reportedly surrendered to the police and confessed to his crime. He alleged that she had been having an extramarital affair for 15 years.
As per the HT report quoting a senior police official, the accused "brought the two bodies in his pick-up vehicle and parked it in the police station," and allegedly claimed to have killed them using a cloth. She allegedly continued the affair with Lekh Raj despite being warned by her family. The police have arrested the accused for the murders.
