A senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer in Haryana, Y. Pooran Kumar, has died by suicide, prompting a police investigation into severe allegations outlined in an eight-page suicide note.

The note, found by police on his laptop and in his pocket, accused senior IPS officers, Haryana government officials, and the Director General of Police (DGP) Shatrujit Kapoor, of caste-based discrimination, harassment, and deliberate attempts to harm his professional career over several years.

Kumar's wife, a senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, has lodged a formal complaint with the Sector 11 police station in Chandigarh, demanding an FIR be filed against the Haryana DGP and an IPS officer currently serving as the Superintendent of Police (SP) in Rohtak.

She alleges a conspiracy to frame her husband in a false corruption case, which she believes led to his death. The Chandigarh police are currently investigating the matter, with the incident causing significant concern within the IAS and IPS fraternity in Haryana.
