The bilateral talks, held at the Taj Hotel in Varanasi, aimed to strengthen economic and cultural ties between the two nations. PM Ramgoolam 's itinerary involved culturally immersive experiences, such as a Ganga cruise, a visit to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, and witnessing the Ganga Aarti ceremony.
Following his engagement in Varanasi, PM Navinchandra Ramgoolam proceeded to Ayodhya, while Prime Minister Modi travelled to Dehradun to assess flood-affected areas in Uttarakhand. The visit underscored the importance of both nations shared cultural heritage and strategic partnership.
