Prime Minister Narendra Modi commenced a two-day visit to Gujarat, commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, revered as the Iron Man. During his visit, PM Modi launched a commemorative ₹150 coin and a special postal stamp, also meeting Sardar Patel’s family to honour his monumental contributions to the nation.

Further showcasing development, the Prime Minister inaugurated projects worth ₹1,100 crore and flagged off a fleet of e-buses in Ekta Nagar. Today, he leads the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations, which include offering floral tributes to Sardar Patel and administering a unity pledge.

The celebrations feature a grand multi-force parade with participation from BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, and state police contingents, alongside special dog and camel displays, daredevil stunts, and tableaux from ten states and agencies.

Gallantry award winners, notably heroes from Operation Sindoor, are also being honoured. PM Modi is scheduled to interact with Aarambh 7.0 officer trainees on the theme of ‘Reimagining Governance’, capping a series of events marking this significant anniversary.
