Tamil Nadu police have granted permission for actor-politician Vijay's upcoming election rally in Erode, scheduled for 18th December. The clearance, however, comes with a comprehensive set of 43 mandatory conditions, meticulously designed to ensure law and order, effective crowd management, and public safety at the event.
Among the strict stipulations, organisers are required to deposit ₹50,000 as a security measure. Furthermore, a crucial condition mandates that the venue must be thoroughly cleaned and restored to its original state immediately following the programme.
Police officials have clarified that these protocols are standard procedure for large political gatherings, implemented to prevent disruptions, maintain crowd discipline, and ensure the smooth conduct of the event, particularly in light of past incidents.
The approval was granted after the HR&CE department issued a No Objection Certificate for the 16-acre temple land venue.
