Sirpur, Komarambheem Asifabad has recorded the lowest temperature of the week with 7.6°C as cold wave persisted through the state, Telangana Development Planning Society data said.
Sangareddy recorded 8.2°C followed by Adilabad 8.9°C, Rangareddy 9.4°C, Kamareddy, Vikarabad 9.6 °C, Nirmal 10°C, Nizamabad 10.1°C, Siddipet 10.2°C, Medak 10.4°C.
In the GHMC area, University of Hyderabad recorded 10.3°C followed by Moula Ali 10.6°C, Alwal 10.9°C, Rajendranagar 11.1°C, Bollaram 11.2°C, Gachibowli 11.8°C, Sivarampalle 11.8°C, Qutbullapur 11.9°C, Maredpally 12.2°C.
Misty, hazy conditions are likely to prevail during morning or night hours. Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 30°C and 14°C respectively. Surface winds are likely to be north-easterlies with wind speed of 4-6 kmph.
Cold wave to continue from Dec 19-22:
Intensive cold wave is likely to continue as temperatures will remain low between December 19-22. Even though mercury will likely rise over the next two days, strong cold weather likely prevail, weather blogger T Balaji said.
IMD Hyderabad in its forecast said that minimum temperatures are likely to be below normal by 3°C to 4°C over the next two days in the state.
