Here are the ingredients and step-by-step instructions to make fruit-based desserts to make at home and satisfy your cravings.

1. Mango sorbet

Ingredients

4 cups of chopped ripe mangoes

2 tablespoons unsweetened coconut flakes

1 small lime cut into four pieces

Honey for drizzling (it’s optional)

Step-by-step instructions

Arrange the chopped mangoes in a single layer on a baking sheet, and cover with plastic wrap loosely. Freeze the mango till it becomes hard.

Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 180 degrees C. Spread the coconut flakes on a rimmed baking sheet, and bake till they turn light golden. Keep tossing in between.

Transfer the frozen mango chunks to a food processor. Add 1/4 to 1/2 cup hot water, and process the mango to make it completely smooth.

Turn the food processor off and stir with a wooden spatula. The finished texture should be like creamy sorbet.

Leave a few-minute chunks of mango. Scoop the sorbet into 4 serving glasses, squeeze a quarter of a lime over each, drizzle with honey and sprinkle with toasted coconut.

2. Frozen chocolate-banana pops

Ingredients

4 large ripe bananas

3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

3 tablespoons heavy cream

3 tablespoons maple syrup

1/2 cup salted, roasted peanuts, finely chopped

6 ice-pop moulds

Step-by-step instructions

Make banana puree in a food processor to make it smooth and creamy. Mix the cocoa powder, cream and maple syrup, and puree well. Spoon the banana mixture into ice-pop moulds, and freeze until firm.

Spread the peanuts on a plate. Run hot water over the ice pops. It will easily come out of the moulds. Roll them in the peanuts and serve.

3. Peach betty

Ingredients

4 ripe peaches cut into 4 parts with seeds out

4 tablespoons melted unsalted butter

4 tablespoons pure maple syrup

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

4 slices of walnut-raisin bread

Kosher salt as per taste

Step-by-step instructions

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C.

Put the peaches, 2 tablespoons of the butter, 2 tablespoons of the maple syrup and the vanilla in an oval baking dish. Toss with a spatula to mix it well, then arrange the peaches cut side up.

Put the bread and salt in the bowl of a food processor. Let it process till these turn into tiny crumbs, but avoid over-processing.

Transfer to a medium bowl and mix with the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and 2 tablespoons of maple syrup. Sprinkle the bread mixture evenly over the peaches.

Bake until the peaches are very tender and the bread crumbs are golden-brown, 30 to 35 minutes.
