18-year-old batter scripts history with 42-ball century in Hundred, joins Harry Brook on all-time list
Davina Perrin, an 18-year-old batter, scored the second-fastest century in Hundred competition across men's and women's division as she smashed the ton in just 42 balls against London Spirits at the Kennington Oval, London, on August 30, Saturday.
New Delhi: An 18-year-old English batter, Davina Perrin, etched her name in the record books by scoring a sensational ton in just 42 balls in the Women's Hundred at the Kennington Oval, London, on August 30, Saturday. The teenage batter was playing for Northern Superchargers in the Eliminator against London Spirits.
Spirits won the toss and invited Superchargers to bat first, Perrin opened the innings with Davidson Richards. The 18-year-old batter recorded the seventh-highest partnership in Women's Hundred history as both openers added 105 runs in just 49 balls, where she scored the most of the runs in the partnership.
Perrin smashed the half-century in just 25 balls and converted her fifty to a sensational ton in just 42 deliveries. She ended her innings with 101 runs off 43 balls, including 15 boundaries and five maximums.
Second fastest batter to score century in Hundred
With her record-breaking innings in the Eliminator match, she became the second-fastest batter to score a century in the Hundred among men's and women's competition. Harry Brook is the fastest batter to score century in Hundred.
Perrin also became the second-ever centurion after Tammy Beaumont in the women's Hundred competition and scored the first ton of the 2025 season. Her innings helped Super Chargers to post the highest score in the women's competition as they finished the innings with 214 runs off 100 deliveries.
Perrin is shining from the U-19 Women's T20 World Cup 2025, where she scored 176 runs in five matches and emerged as the second-highest run scorer in the tournament. The opening batter's consistency in the U-19 matches helped her to secure a spot in the Women's Hundred this season, and currently, she is the fourth-highest run-getter in the tournament.
Superchargers comfortably won the Eliminator match by 42 runs and qualified for the final of Women's Hundred 2025. They will be playing against Southern Brave at Lord's on August 31, Sunday.
