Suryakumar hails Gill, Abhisheks opening partnership after comprehensive victory over Australia

New Delhi: Though Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav appreciated the bowlers after India's comprehensive victory over Australia in 4th T20I but he had special words for opening batters Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma who build-up a brilliant stand.
Team India put up an all-round effort to beat the Aussies by 48 runs in the fourth match of the series taking a 2-1 lead. The fifth and final game of the series will be played on Saturday and by virtue of this result, India will not lose the series even if the Aussies win the final game maintaining their supremacy over the hosts in the shortest format in Australia.
The Indian captain praised his players' tactical awareness both with the bat and ball for the win which gave them confidence ahead of the final contest. After a brilliant start, Team Indian batters' faltered a bit but again regained strength to put up 167 runs on the board at the end of 20 overs losing 8 wickets.

At the post-match presentation, Suryakumar said that the credit for the win goes to the batters especially Gill and Abhishek who both started the innings in a terrific manner. Lauding their batting, he further said that they knew that it was not a 200-220 runs wicket and accordingly, they batted very smartly.
Defending a modest total, the bowlers from Men in Blue side also produced a clinical display with Washington Sundar claiming three wickets while Shivam Dube and Axar picking up two wickets apiece. Rest of the bowlers also claimed a wicket apiece. The Indian skipper also said that the bowlers captilised well n the situation and picked up the wickets at regular intervals to give India the win.
