Massive fire breaks out in Magh Mela area of Prayagraj, no casualty
The fire broke out at Narayan Shukla Dham camp in Sector 5 of the Mela area. There were over 50 people in the camp at the time of the incident. Soon, after the fire was noticed, everyone rushed out of the camp, avoiding a major accident.
Prayagraj: A massive fire broke out at Magh Mela area of Prayagraj on Tuesday. While there is no report of any loss of live, a number of tents and other items have been gutted in fire. As many as five fire brigades reached the spot and extinguished the fire after receiving the information.

According to reports, the fire broke out at Narayan Shukla Dham camp in Sector 5 of the Mela area. There were over 50 people in the camp at the time of the incident. Soon, after the fire was noticed, everyone rushed out of the camp, avoiding a major accident.
15 tents reduced to ashes
There were 15 tents inside the camp, which have been reduced to ashes. The flames rising from the camp were visible from afar, frightening the pilgrims. After reaching the spot, fire brigades reached the spot and extinguished the fire. As per initial reports, a short circuit might be the reason behind the fire accident.
"The fire had spread to all tents at the Narayan Shukla Dham camp. Everyone escaped safely by evacuating in time. The fire also engulfed the shops outside the Kalpvasi camp, burning them all to ashes. After extinguishing the fire, a probe was also conducted inside the camp to find out the cause of the accident.
‘Fire brigade quickly brought the fire under control’
Speaking to IANS, Satua Baba, one of the pilgrims, said, "At the Magh Mela, there is a camp for Ram Naam Prachar and Manas Prachar activities. A minor fire incident occurred in the camp, but fortunately, no one was injured. The fire brigade quickly brought the fire under control..”
"No casualties were reported. At 17:45, a mobile fire bike noticed smoke rising from one side. Upon immediate response, it was found that a fire had broken out in a tent belonging to Ram Naam and Manas Pracharak groups,” added Annimesh Singh, Chief Fire Officer, Magh Mela.
