AI-first platform ProXpense integrates deeply with popular messaging services

Gurugram-based ProXpense is an AI-infused Travel and Expenses platform for enterprises that was introduced in 2024, and has witnessed rapid adoption since then. The platform integrates seamlessly with the enterprise communication tools already in use, such as Teams and Slack. Founder and CEO of ProXpense, Himanshu Singh says, "ProXpense’s omnichannel booking is built on the idea that users shouldn’t have to leave their workspace to book travel. On Slack or Teams, employees can simply message our AI travel assistant to search, compare, and book flights or hotels instantly, just like chatting with a colleague. On WhatsApp or Email, the experience is conversational yet structured, with AI handling policy checks and approvals in real time. Each platform is optimized for its native strengths, quick commands in Slack, detailed itineraries via Email, and fast confirmations on WhatsApp."

ProXpense is also looking at other communication platforms to cater to the needs of the next generation of workers. Singh says, "We’re continuously expanding this ecosystem and are already exploring integrations with platforms like Discord and Telegram to meet the needs of younger, distributed, and hybrid workforces." The conversational experience provided on the platforms is powered by AI, with agentic models being used to find suitable flights as well as hotels based on the requirements of the user. The AI travel bot by ProXpense acts just like a travel agent, enabling the booking of trips that comply with policies in over 150 languages, and finds the best local options.  

Explaining the benefits of the AI infusion, Singh says, "ProXpense AI lets employees book personalised and policy compliant trips right from their email inbox, slack, teams and whatsapp. It even supports both voice booking and text in 150+ languages. Interacting with ProXpense Travel AI is like interacting with a personal travel assistant, it gives you more options if you ask for any information you require. Employees often struggle with options such as finding Hotels near the meeting location, or finding Indian food options while traveling overseas. Here AI goes outside regular GDS and goes even to maps to check distance from your customer’s location, compares ratings on the web. It even finds the best flights and hotels if you send it a conference web link! When you reach the destination city, ProXpense AI guides employees on how to find a cab, gives relevant other transport options and even tells travelers what to explore nearby, restaurant options etc." 

The technology also allows for audits and fraud detection. Singh says, "Fraud detection at ProXpense is powered by our Intelli Audit engine, which uses AI and machine learning to monitor every expense in real time. It identifies irregularities such as duplicate claims, inflated receipts, policy breaches, or out-of-policy bookings, even subtle anomalies like inconsistent timestamps or currency mismatches. The system automatically flags these exceptions for review and can even auto-reject high-risk entries based on rules set by the organization. Prona AI continuously analyzes trends and possible leakages to inform Finance and admin teams on possible frauds and leakages and lets them take relevant action such as policy improvements etc. What makes it powerful is its ability to learn over time. As it processes more data, it becomes sharper at detecting emerging fraud patterns, ensuring enterprises maintain complete financial integrity and compliance across their travel ecosystem." 

When asked about the journey of the startup so far, Singh says, "ProXpense was born out of years of first hand experience in the corporate travel and expense domain.
