OnePlus Pad Go 2 launch confirmed in India with big screen and huge battery
OnePlus has confirmed the sale date of its upcoming Pad Go 2 tablet in India. The new device offers a large 12.1 inch display, MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra chipset, 10,050mAh battery and a fast charging Stylus. More information including price will be announced at the launch event on 17 December.
New Delhi: OnePlus has shared new details about its upcoming tablet, the OnePlus Pad Go 2, just days before launch. The company says the device is made for students and young working users who need something simple that handles work and entertainment. It officially goes on sale on 18 December in India, a day after the launch event.
The previous OnePlus Pad Go saw strong interest in the country and this time the brand says it wants to deliver better performance and a bigger screen without pushing the price too high.
OnePlus reveals processor, battery and more
OnePlus confirmed that the Pad Go 2 is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra chipset. The company says this processor is built on a 4nm process for better efficiency across apps, streaming and games. OnePlus added that the tablet is tested for long term smoothness. It said the device will run reliably even four years later as certified by TÜV SÜD Fluency testing.
Battery life has also been pushed up. The tablet carries a 10,050mAh battery with 33W SUPERVOOC charging. OnePlus says users can expect up to: • 15 hours of video playback • 53 hours of music playback • 60 days of standby time
There is reverse cable charging too. The tablet can charge a phone when needed. Not everyone will use that daily but it can help in places like airports or long travel days.
New Stylo for writing and drawing
OnePlus will release an upgraded Stylo that works with the Pad Go 2. This is the first stylus support in the Pad Go lineup. The company said the stylus is focused on productivity and note taking. It charges quickly and the brand claims that a ten minute charge can give enough battery for half a day of writing or sketching. That can help students in classes who forget to charge accessories before leaving home.
Bigger and brighter display for multitasking
The display is one of the biggest changes. The tablet features a 12.1 inch screen with 284 PPI resolution, 900 nits brightness and 98 percent DCI P3 colour coverage. The aspect ratio is 7:5 which gives a more square display and more space for apps and documents. The screen covers 88.5 percent of the front. OnePlus says it supports Dolby Vision and carries TÜV Rheinland Intelligent Eye Care 4.0 certification to protect eyes during long use.
This tablet will also run the company’s Open Canvas multitasking software. It is designed to make split screen easier for working across two or more apps. Switching between windows is meant to feel natural on the large display.
Launch date confirmed
OnePlus will share the full features and pricing of the Pad Go 2 at its joint event on 17 December where the OnePlus 15R will also debut. Sales start the next day across India.
For now, OnePlus is positioning the Pad Go 2 as a device that can handle study hours and weekend movie sessions without a charger always nearby. It has a bigger display, strong battery claims and a stylus option which were missing from the first Go model.
More details are expected soon including RAM and storage variants along with India pricing.
