2025 Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition launched in India

Following the previous year's success, Toyota have launched the Fortuner's Leader version, coming with the 2.8-litre diesel engine making 204 bhp of maximum power.

New Delhi: Toyota Kirloskar Motor have been introduced the 2025 Fortuner Leader Edition in India, bringing new style and feature enhancements to their popular premium SUV. The refreshed edition comes after the 2024 version, garnering great success, targeting buyers to have a sportier look along with a more feature-rich experience.

Bookings for the 2025 Toyota Fortuner Leader edition will start from the second week of October 2025 through Toyota’s dealership and the brand’s official website. Even though Toyota haven’t given the pricing, buyers can contact the dealership for pricing.

In terms of looks, Fortuner Leader Edition comes with updates like the redesigned grille, front and rear bumper spoiler, chrome accents, distinctive hood emblem. A dual-tone roof in black, mixed with glossy black alloy wheels, improves their roof presence. The SUV will have colour options of Attitude Black, Super White, Pearl White and Silver colour options. 

On the inside, the Fortuner Leader comes with dual-tone black and maroon seats, door trims, illuminated scuff plates and auto-folding mirrors. It also comes with an upgraded tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) as part of the safety package. The cabin combines both practicality and comfort with a touch of sportiness. 

The 2025 Fortuner Leader Edition will continue with the 2.8-litre diesel engine making 204 bhp of maximum power. The engine makes around 420 Nm of peak torque paired with a six-speed MT and 500 Nm of peak torque with a six-speed AT. It is available in RWD configuration as well.

Toyota is coming with quite a few financial options, including funding of up to eight years under the Toyota Smart balloon Finance scheme and many similar offers. Since making its debut, the Fortuner has sold 3 lakh plus units in the country, coming in as one of the country’s most sought-after full-size SUVs, with great durability, off-roading ability and resale value. Overall, it doesn't offer much in terms of mechanical enhancement, and it is just the interiors that have been enhanced better.
