New Delhi: Toyota India have revealed the first teaser for the upcoming Urban Cruiser Hyryrder Aero Edition on their social media handles. The image showed an all-black edition of Toyota’s compact SUV and is most likely to arrive during Toyota’s Drum Tao music festival in November. It is expected to get black interiors and exteriors.
The Hyryder Aero Edition is also expected to sport a new black paint scheme and faux carbon fibre finish on the grille, among other upgrades. It isn’t known if there will be any major styling changes. It is expected to come with “Aero Edition” badges on the back. The cabin, though, will be the same; it will get the dark edition treatment.
Toyota had updated the Hyryder earlier, coming with more features, and the top-spec trim even gets a new digital console, tyre pressure monitoring system, Type-C USB charging ports, rear-door sunshades, LED reading and spot lamps and ambient lighting as well.
The 2025 Hyryder also gets the option of the six-speed automatic transmission along with the All-Wheel Drive (AWD) version. The AWD manual version, though, has been discontinued. The SUV now gets six airbags as standard across their variants, along with Electronic Parking Brake on all automatic variants.
The Hyryder Aero Edition is likely to come with three powertrain options. The compact SUV is available with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.5-litre Strong Hybrid motor. There is also a 1.5-litre CNG option, and depending on the engine, the transmission is both manual and automatic.
