2025 Toyota Taisor gets six airbags as standard with slight price hike
Toyota Taisor comes with six airbags and a bit of price hiking, with the upgrade coming after its related sub-compact SUV, Maruti Suzuki Bronx, was updated with six airbags as well.
New Delhi: Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor have received a model year update that upgrades the safety suite of the compact SUV along with colour options. The prices for the Taisor have been hiked as well, and now start at Rs 7.89 lakh, which is Rs 12,000 more, and the top-of-the-line costs Rs 13.19 lakh, which is Rs 28,000 more than before.
Before the 2025 update, the Taisor comes with two airbags in lower variants, while the upper trims received six airbags. However, Toyota have now made six airbags standard across its lineup. Taisor is based on the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, and it too was recently updated to come with six airbags as standard. Fronx pricing though, was increased by just 0.5 per cent in the model year update.
Apart from safety, Toyota are also introducing an added "Bluish Black” colour option for the Taisor. The colour itself looks like a darker version of the Fronx’s Nexa Blue paint finish.
Toyota Taisor powertrain
Toyota are sticking with their tested powertrain offerings, giving buyers the option of either choosing from 90 bhp produced by a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine or the 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol motor producing 100 bhp in the compact SUV.
The gearbox options include a five-speed manual as standard with the 1.2-litre engine, and also include the option of a 5-speed AMT. The 1.0-litre turbo unit gets a six-speed torque converter. There is also a 1.2-litre petrol-CNG engine making 78 bhp, but it is only available in manual gearbox option in the E trim level.
