2026 Suzuki Hayabusa unveiled, given technical updates
The Suzuki Hayabusa have been given small but major updates for 2026 model, mostly electrical upgrades which include selectable throttle maps, refined launch control system and a compact and lighter lithium-ion battery.
New Delhi: Suzuki have updated the Hayabusa for 2026, bringing quite a few small but major refinements to their legendary superbike. The core mechanical aspect of the bike is much the same, but the brand has revised the electronics and introduced new colour schemes.
The biggest update for 2026 is the revision of the Hayabusa’s selectable throttle maps, which have been retuned to boost torque delivery in the lower rev range. This will make for stronger acceleration and improved rideability in everyday scenarios. The cruise control system has also been improved in order to remain active during gear changes while using the bi-directional quickshifter.
Suzuki also have refined the launch control system and even added a more compact and lighter lithium-ion battery.
In terms of powertrain, it comes with the same 1,340 cc inline-four engine that makes 190 bhp and 150 Nm. However, Suzuki UK is also offering an optional Akrapovic exhaust system at a price lower than the usual retail price of £3,025, and it has been slashed down to £1,999.
Along with the standard model updates, Suzuki have also announced a Special Edition of Hayabusa that separates itself with a unique blue paint scheme with contrasting white detailing. The Special Edition also comes with a 3D Suzuki emblem and special edition badge on the fuel tank, and will also get a seat cowl as standard.
The 2026 Hayabusa in the UK has an on-road price of £18,599 (Rs 21.55 lakh). In India, the current spec is priced at Rs 18.06 lakh. While no timeline has been given for when the updated version will launch in India, it will clearly be priced above the outgoing model.
