New Delhi: A year ago, Afla Romeo had bid farewell to their Quadrifoglio models by bringing the Super Sport special edition as a celebration for the end of an era. However, as Stellantis has done before, they went back and have decided to bring the V6 engine back. The move follows after the extended life of the first-gen Giulia and Stelvio, with the replacements taking longer than the original time frame.

Initially, the idea was to sell the second generation of these cars as just ECs, but the cars are now being re-engineered to accommodate ICE. Alfa Romeo is going to ICE setup for the next-gen Giulia and Stelvio, following the realisation that the electric models might not sell all that well. While the EVs will come, they will have combustion engines as part of the portfolio.

How Alfa Romeo's V6 will look?

Alfa Romeo is bringing back the Quads, which the Italian manufacturer had previously promised. They are bringing back the six cylinders for their big guns, and the new “Collezione” series is limited to just 63 units per body style, a subtle nod to 1963, when the brand launched their first production car.

It will be a twin-turbo, 2.9-litre V6 engine with the Ferrari DNA coming without any tweaking, coming with 513 bhp and 600 Nm of torque. Alfa Romeo comes with Akrapovic as a standard exhaust system for a more aggressive sound. It also gets carbon-ceramic brakes as a set with the engine.

Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio

With Giulia already a decade old and Stelvio closing on that, Alfa Romeo are trying to keep things visually fresh. Both come with an exposed carbon fibre roof, a lightweight touch that extends to the mirror caps and even the front badge.

If that doesn’t float enough, the dual gets a special shade of red on the ultra-exclusive 33 Stradale supercar. Originating from the 4C Concept’s finish. The deep-red hue appears darker on the Giulia and a shade lighter on the Stelvio.

On the inside, Alfa Romeo have wrapped the dashboard with leather in red stitching and added carbon fibre to the central tunnel. The Sparco seats combine leather and Alcantara, coming with individual headrests and carbon fibre shells. Further, the leather appears on the door armrests and between seats.

Even though the Collezione is billed as a global limited edition, it is going to be going to Europe, Japan, China and the Middle East. For now, it is clear that the next generation isn’t coming until 2028, and they might come with another batch of ICE versions.
