New Delhi: BMW India has updated the iX1 Long Wheelbase (LWB) for the Indian market. However, the company has not changed anything major in the car, but it has added a new exterior colour and more interior upholstery options. These updates will help to keep the model fresh without doing any mechanical changes, as the iX1 is currently BMW’s most-sold premium electric SUV in India.
The iX1 LWB continues to use BMW’s fifth-generation eDrive system. It produces 204 hp and 250 Nm of torque. Power comes from a 66.4 kWh battery pack. Under the MIDC test cycle, the iX1 offers a claimed driving range of up to 531 km on a full charge. The SUV also supports adaptive recuperation and one-pedal driving, which help recover energy while slowing down and extend the usable range slightly.
The main highlight is a new Night Dusk Blue metallic colour. Earlier, the iX1 LWB was sold in Carbon Black, Mineral White, and Skyscraper Grey. With the new shade added, buyers now get four metallic colour choices. At the time of launch, the iX1 actually had five colours, including M Portimao Blue and Sparkling Copper Grey, but BMW has now updated the palette and kept only four.
BMW has expanded the upholstery options. Earlier, the iX1 LWB came only with Castanea, a mocha-brown vegan leather finish that was introduced when the SUV debuted at the Auto Expo 2025. Now, the interior can also be ordered in Smoke White and Atlas Grey Dual Tone. Castanea remains available as well. BMW has added a 3D stitching pattern to all upholstery choices. The same colour theme is used across the door pads, dashboard and even the speaker covers, which gives the interior a uniform, cleaner look.
