Across India, a PUC is an important certificate that is required for driving a vehicle in the country. The certificate verifies that the vehicle’s emission level is below the permissible emission level. In Assam, close to 175 authorised emission testing centres are operational, making it easy for vehicle owners to test their vehicles for emissions without hassle.
According to the Motor Vehicle Act of 1988, it is a rule that all vehicles in India need to carry a valid PUC certificate following completion of an accurate PUC test. A typical certificate is valid anywhere between six months to one year from the date of issue, although it can vary. PUC certificate can be obtained both online and offline.
