New Delhi: Mahindra have announced that the entire 999 units of the BE 6 Batman Edition has been sold. Yesterday, the bookings had opened at 11 am, and the company said that the limited edition of the e-SUV was sold out in just 135 seconds, showing a major demand. On launch, the car manufacturer had said that the BE 6 Batman edition would be limited to just 300 units, but on August 21st, it had to be increased to 999 units due to the accelerating demand.
Mahindra had even said that in order to celebrate their partnership with Warner Bros, more limited edition models could be introduced in the coming year. Alongside increasing the number to 999 units, Mahindra had opened pre-booking for the BE 6 Batman Edition at 5 pm on August 21st. Buyers could pay the Rs 21,000 booking fee from August 23rd from 11 AM onwards.
For the special edition model, Mahindra also allowed customers to choose their badge number between 001 to 999. To ensure all BE 6 Batman Edition buyer get their desired number, the badge number isn’t exclusive, and there could be multiple Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition SUVs with an identical badge number.
Deliveries of the BE 6 Batmand Edition will start from September 20th, which is celebrated as the International Batman Day. It is launched at Rs 27.79 lakh, the Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition is based on the top-spec Pack Three variant and gets the Batman-inspired detailing outside and interior as well and costs Rs 89,000 more than Pack Three. The craze for Batman is widespread, and people would pay the extra amount for the car. It is the first EV to get the black edition treatment from the company.
