Maruti Suzuki Victoris takes 25,000 bookings, with waiting period increasing

Maruti Suzuki had brought the Victoris as the competition for the Hyundai Creta and now has a ten-week waiting period, with interests for the multiple powertrain it is being offered in.

New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki have revealed that their recently launched, midsize SUV, the Victoris, has received positive response from customers. Since being launched in September 15th, the Victoris has taken up around 25,000 bookings. However, the waiting period for the Victoris is right now at around the 10-week mark.

This comes despite the production running for the midsize SUV, going ahead in full steam, according to Maruti Suzuki. Dealer lead times are expected to be around two or three months as well.

Coming as a Creta rival, the Victoris comes at a much cheaper price, placed between Rs 10.5 lakh and Rs 19.99 lakh. Plus, it gets a good efficiency, gets loaded with features, has a five-star Bharat NCAP and Global NCAP safety ratings, with a wide power range of petrol, CNG and strong hybrid.

It gets a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder mild hybrid petrol engine that makes 103 bhp, a 1.5-litre three-cylinder strong hybrid that makes 116 bhp and a 1.5-litre petrol-CNG that makes 89 bhp. It comes with a gearbox option of a five-speed manual gearbox and a six-speed manual gearbox, or the CNG variant.

Inside it is a completely new gae with the and comes with a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen on the top of the dash and a digital driver’s display. It has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an eight-speaker sound system and much more. Inside, it is a new game in many ways for Maruti, coming with new buttons and a steering wheel, giving it a fresh Maruti Suzuki design language. 

Even the outside takes design elements from the e-Vitara and gets chunky LED headlights, bridged by a slim grille cover with a chrome strip, thick plastic cladding and a silver skid plate as well. It gets 18-inch alloy wheels, silver roof rails, blacked-out pillars and even the squared-off body cladding.
