New Delhi: The Ford Mustang GTD is one of the most out there versions of the model, and the brand has managed to elevate it to the next level still. The American manufacturer unveiled the GTD Liquid Carbon replaced a coat of paint with a completely exposed carbon-fibre body.

That has made the car 13 pounds lighter than the GTD Carbon Series with the Performance pack. Ford have saved this weight with both the paint job as well as by replacing the sheet metal in the doors with bonded carbon-fibre. In terms of performance, every little weight lost is going to aid, of course.

The car’s biggest feature is the impeccable weave in the carbon fibre. It has managed to uphold the mastery of the Carbon Series, coming with a cohesive pattern across the entire vehicle before matching down the midline through the hood, roof, wing and rear deck.

The Liquid Carbon comes standard with the GTD’s Performance package, which also includes 20-inch magnesium wheels that hide the Black Brembo brakes with anodised GTD script. The pack, in fact, also includes additional aero bits while managing to remove some sound deadening as well. It comes with the brand’s supercharged 5.2-litre V8 engine making 815 bhp and 900 Nm of torque and semi-active rear inboard pushrod suspension.

On the inside, Mustang gets the black leather and Dinamica microfiber suede. There’s also Hyper Lime stitching on the seats, door panels, and steering wheels, while the rest of the cabin is filled with contrast. Now this is a pack that is going to make the Mustang performance better, and it isn’t just another black edition that we have been seeing in recent times.
