New Delhi: Tata recently launched the Harrier.ev, and it has been loaded with features and all the goodies. Coming at a segment which is less populated with EVs, the Harrier.ev is promising at first look. While there are EV SUVs in the Harrier.ev comes as an off-roading SUV, which is still an uncharted territory overall. 

Tata’s latest EV is without a doubt quite good to drive both on the highways and in city. Being an EV it delivers a good range and can tackle the obstacles with quite an ease. With a cockpit that is flooded with tech, there will be quite a few eyeballs turning at the EV. Bringing a lot of segment-first features in it, here are some of the highlights of the Tata Harrier.ev.

5) Digital Key

The new Harrier.ev with the smart card allowing people to access their vehicle even if the fob runs out of battery. For better security and access, the car can be accessed with a smartphone or smartwatch, and the access can even be shared remotely. The Digital Key makes operating the keyless car access much easier in case of an emergency.  

4) Keyfob and the summon option

Back when Tesla unveiled their summon option, it was one of the most outrageous features to be their in a road-legal car. Tata with the Harrier.ev has introduced the summon option with the keyfob, which you can operate from outside of the car. While it is a little slow and requires good connectivity but from a tight spot, people can now easily access the vehicle.

3) HD Rearview mirror with DVR

Tata Harrier.ev’s rearview mirror doubles up as both a conventional mirror as well as a digital monitor that gives a clear view along with recording. Aside from this, the Tata Harrier.ev also gets blind spot monitoring in the driver’s console. All of this makes it quite a safe option to drive with on the Indian roads.

2) 540-degree surround camera and ADAS Level 2

Like most new Tatas, the Harrier.ev too gets the 540-degree surround view camera system, with transparent view as well that allows you to command the vehicle in tricky, tight spots. Further, there is the ADAS Level 2, which can perform over 22 functions. It has adaptive cruise, lane centring, and even autonomous braking. It even gets Auto Park Assist that can handle both parallel and perpendicular parking. 

1) Amazing quality of infotainment and sound system

The 36.9 cm cinematic infotainment screen by Harman is powered by Samsung Neo QLED. Tata Motors have brought the Dolby Atmos experience to the Harrier.ev gives a brilliant listening experience and delivers a multidimensional sound experience. It gets built-in compatibility with apps like Gaana and Audible through Arcade.ev app store, which has been integrated into the infotainment system. It is powered by 10 speakers with Harman’s JBL Black audio system. Of this, they have four powerful 6.5” speakers, a mid-range speaker on the dashboard, four tweeters on the front and rear doors and a deep bass subwoofer in the boot.
