Tata loads standard Sierra trim with features; makes strong case against rivals
Tata Sierra has been one of the most-awaited launches of the year. Coming in a segment with big players like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Sierra has been loaded with features in the base trim itself.
New Delhi: Tata Sierra returning to the market has been one of the biggest topics in the auto industry for a while. While holding characteristics of the original Sierra from the 90s in terms of design language, it is a completely new boy in town, built on their ARGOS (All-Terrain Ready, Omni-Energy and Geometry Scalable) platform.
It is going to compete against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Vitara and more. Coming in a very competitive market with well-set players, Tata have been clever with how they have placed Sierra. Loaded with features, Tata have made premium aspects of the car standard. Everything we know about Tata Sierra; pricing, bookings, future editions
Tata, though, have announced the base price of the new Sierra; the full price list is likely to come next month when the bookings start. Tata Motors have confirmed that the bookings for the new Sierra will start at their dealership and through an online portal on December 16th, soon after the prices for the other trims are revealed, with deliveries commencing on January 15th, 2026.
The Sierra will be available in seven trims: Smart+, Pure, Pure+, Adventure, Adventure+, Accomplished and Accomplished+. In the top-spec, Accomplished+, Sierra gets a 160 bhp making 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 118 bhp 1.5-litre diesel engine options, with the former coming with an automatic gearbox only. Priced at Rs 11.49 lakh, the top-spec should be priced at Rs 20 lakh. Tata have also confirmed that in 2027, Sierra will come with an all-wheel drive option as well.
