New Delhi: The year is about to end, and like every year, people will carry only memories and half-finished plans into the next one. For car lovers, 2025 is also ending with several new launches from major brands like Hyundai, Tata, Kia, Maruti Suzuki and Mahindra. As the year ends, many car companies are trying to bring something new before 2025 finishes.
Some brands have added small updates, new features or special editions to catch buyers' attention. Most changes are not major, but they give people more options to choose from. These new launches mainly target the budget and mid-size SUV segment, which is the most popular category in India right now. Here is a quick and straightforward look at some of the key models.
The updated Hyundai Venue starts at Rs 7.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Hyundai offers it in several variants, from the basic HX2 1.2 Petrol MT to the higher HX10 1.5 Diesel AT. The features depend on the variant. Some trims get 16-inch alloy wheels, two-tone leatherette seats, and twin 12.3-inch screens, which are actually bigger than the ones on the Hyundai Creta. The top versions also offer drive and traction modes like Normal, Mud, Sand and Snow.
Maruti’s new SUV, the Victoris, will be sold through Arena outlets. Prices start at Rs 10.5 lakh and go up to Rs 19.99 lakh. It has three engine options: 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder mild-hybrid petrol, 3-cylinder strong hybrid and 1.5-litre petrol-CNG. Gearbox choices vary: 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic for the petrol, e-CVT for the strong hybrid, and 5-speed manual for the CNG. The SUV is meant to give a wide range of options for different users.
Mahindra has come up with the XEV 9S, a seven-seater electric SUV. It is available at a starting price of Rs 19.95 lakh (ex-showroom). The Electric model offers up to 500 km claimed range, two battery pack options, and advanced Level 2 plus ADAS features. It aims to attract growing family EV buyers with a focus on space and safety.
With prices starting from Rs 8.68 lakh (for the base variant), Kia has launched the Syros SUV in India, going up to Rs 14.57 lakh for the top-end model. Featuring turbo-petrol and diesel options, along with manual and automatic gearboxes, the Syros is set to compete with the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Toyota Hyryder. Packed with features like ventilated seats and a sunroof.
Tata has brought back the Sierra name. The new model comes in Smart Plus, Pure/Pure Plus and Adventure/Adventure Plus variants. Prices start at Rs 11.49 lakh. Most of the price list has been announced, but the top-end variant’s price is still not revealed, so the full pricing is incomplete for now.
