New Delhi: Toyota have given a first look at the Century Coupe at the Japan Mobility Show 2025. Previously used as a sedan and SUV, and now going forward, Toyota’s Century nameplate will operate as an ultra-luxury sub-brand. It will be placed even above Lexus and will be targeting Rolls-Royce and Bentley.

Century Coupe is enabling Toyota’s ambitions, even though the brand is still keeping the whole plan about upcoming launches hushed. The Century Coupe comes as a 2-door coupe SUV and gets a unique amber shade that comes with 60 layers of paint, as claimed by Toyota.

The Toyota phoenix motif is spread throughout the bodywork. The Century Coupe’s upright fascia comes with split LED headlights, flanked by a honeycomb-patterned body-coloured grille. The latter mixes bonnet ducts and makes for strong evidence that the Century Coupe is hiding an engine at the front.

On the side, the Century Coupe comes with blacked-out 10-spoke alloy wheels with hints of red brake callipers, concealed door handles, and even gloss-black body cladding and door trim. There is no rear windshield song with outside rearview mirrors. The part of the window line extends further back, and the till-lamps come with a similar split setup as the headlights.

On the inside, once the sliding doors have parted, you get Century Coupe’s radical cabin layout, which is lined by what appears to be a wall of diagonal red laser lights beside the driver's seat, projecting from the central console to the headliner. There’s little to talk about in the dashboard, and the steering wheel yoke is surrounded by three screens that are there for multimedia, vehicle functions and instrumentation.

The interior is loaded with phoenix motifs that are scattered around, and there is even ambient lighting all across the cabin. In order to have easy access to the single back seat and have ample of legroom, Toyota also have not given the Century Coupe a passenger seat at the front.

Toyota Century Coupe powertrain

Century Coupe is most likely coming with an engine underneath, and even though Toyota haven’t said anything about the Century Coupe’s powertrain, it could employ the 3.5-litre V6 plug-in hybrid that makes 406 bhp. The powertrain is paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to all four wheels.
