New Delhi: Rajeev Jain-led GQG Partners has increased its stake by making big purchases in five Adani Group companies. GQG has invested around Rs 5,094 crore through block deals. The companies in which stake was increased include Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, Adani Green Energy, Adani Energy Solutions and Adani Power. Most of the shares were sold on behalf of Reliance Trust.
GQG Partners bought about 53.42 lakh shares of Adani Enterprises, which were raised in three different blocks through GQG Partners International Equity CIT. All these shares were purchased at the rate of Rs 2,462 apiece and the total deal size was Rs 1,315.20 crore. On Wednesday, the stock of Adani Enterprises was trading at Rs 2,419.50 apiece. The selling party in the deal was the Reliance Trust Institutional Retirement Trust Series Eleven. Prior to this, as of 30 September 2025, GQG had 1.75 percent stake in the company, which included 2.01 crore shares.
GQG bought about 73.17 lakh shares of Adani Ports and SEZ in two tranches. The purchase was made at the rate of Rs 1,507.6 per share and the total size of the deal was Rs 1,103.14 crore. These shares were also sold on behalf of Reliance Trust. The stock traded at Rs 1,481.40 apiece at the time of writing this article. As of September 2025, GQG had 2.42 percent stake in the company, which included more than 5.21 crore shares.
GQG bought more than 77.39 lakh shares of Adani Green Energy
in three tranches. The purchase was made at a price of Rs 1,088.6 per share and the total deal size was 842.53 crore. Reliance Trust was the seller in this deal as well. The counter traded at Rs 1,055.90. As of September 2025, GQG had 2.46 percent stake in the company.
GQG purchased 53.94 lakh shares of Adani Energy Solutions in two tranches. The purchase took place at the rate of Rs 1,021.55 per share and the total deal size was Rs 551.08 crore. These shares were also sold by Reliance Trust. Earlier, GQG had 1.86 percent stake in the company, which included more than 2.23 crore shares.
GQG bought more than 83.61 lakh shares of Adani Power in three different tranches. These shares were raised at the rate of Rs 153.28, bringing the total deal size to Rs 1,281.57 crore. The seller here too was Reliance Trust. As of September 2025, GQG had 1.54 percent stake in the company, which included more than 29.23 crore shares.
