Kolkata: The equity markets were subject to a fair degree of volatility on Monday, Dec 15, and finally the major indices closed slightly in the red. But Nifty 50 closed above the important level of 26,000. In the Nifty 50 basket, 27 stocks declined and 22 improved while one stock closed at the same level as last week. Auto, energy and banking stocks declined on Monday, while IT and FMCG stocks gained. Also investors are expected to keep an eye on these stocks.
State Bank of India
SBI will sign a 150 million euro credit line with the German development bank KfW. This funding will be for climate-friendly energy projects. The Centre has also appointed Ravi Ranjan as the bank's new managing director.
Ion Exchange India
This firm has received contracts totaling Rs 205 crore from Rayzon Energy and INOX Solar. The Rs 95 crore order from Rayzon Energy relates to process and utility systems for a 5.1 gigawatt PV solar project. The contract from INOX Solar, worth approximately Rs 110 crore, relates to ultra-pure water, wastewater treatment, and zero liquid discharge solutions.
