Part A

Employers release Form 16 on or before May 31st of the assessment year. For instance, for the financial year 2024-25, Form 16 must be issued by May 31, 2025.

How to Download Form 16?

Method 2: From the Income Tax e-Filing Portal

If the employer has withheld TDS, you can access TDS information from the Income Tax e-Filing Portal

1. Open the TRACES (TDS Reconciliation Analysis and Correction Enabling System) website.

2. Log in using PAN credentials.

3. Navigate to 'View Tax Credit (Form 26AS)'.

4. Download Form 26AS, which includes TDS details but not Form 16 itself.

5. Verify the details with Form 16 obtained from your employer.

- Employer's Name and PAN

- Total Salary Earned

- TDS Deducted and Deposited
