Bengaluru: A man from Andaman shared how the city of Bengaluru embraced him and made him "better". In the heartwarming post that appeared on Reddit, the man stated that he moved to India's tech capital about three years ago with a suitcase, a lot of hope and a little fear. 

The post was titled, "Completed 3 Years in Bengaluru - From Fear to Fondness." He stated that moving to a city like Bengaluru, with no job or dear ones around,  from a quiet and isolated place like Andaman was like “jumping into the deep end". Despite having no prior experience living alone, he rented an apartment in the city and experienced the ups and downs of independent living.

He explained that he began enjoying domestic chores, though he had never dealt with any cooking or cleaning in the past. Slowly, he witnessed the evolution of his life in Bengaluru. From getting a stable job to enjoying the perks of experiencing the culture and quirks of the city, the man said that he had come a long way.

Speaking of how he enjoys the city now, the man revealed that he cruised on his two-wheeler, embracing the sights, sounds and smells of the city. He also touched on the messy side of Bengaluru, but divulged that those factors did not impact his love for the city. 

“Traffic is a mess. Language can be a barrier. Road rage exists. Cops aren’t angels...what makes Bengaluru different for me is the heart it has," said the man. He added, "The pink flower season that makes you forget you're stuck in traffic. The stranger who gives you directions with a smile. The Kannadiga friends who made me feel at home and fed me like family. This city might not be perfect, but it’s full of good people and great stories.”

He concluded the post by encouraging people to take a chance. "This city has a way of embracing those who embrace it back. Bengaluru, you made me better. Cheers to you," wrote the Redditor. 

Amid posts that often complained about the city's chaos, this Reddit story surely had a place of its own.
