Nursery girl brutally beaten by school helper in Hyderabad, video sparks probe

A video from Hyderabad's Quthubullapur area shows a school helper brutally beating a nursery student inside Purnima School. The child, now suffering from fever and suspected internal injuries, was taken to Ram Hospital. Her parents have filed a complaint, and GDI Metla Police have launched an investigation.

New Delhi: A disturbing incident from Hyderabad’s Quthubullapur area has triggered outrage after a video surfaced showing a nursery student being brutally beaten inside her school. The assault took place at Purnima School in Shapur Nagar, under the GDI Metla Police Station limits, where a woman employed as a school helper was seen mercilessly thrashing the young girl. The incident came to light after a boy from the neighbourhood recorded the entire act on his phone.

According to the family, the child has refused to eat anything since the assault, raising fears of possible internal injuries or psychological trauma. She was rushed to Ram Hospital with a high fever, where doctors confirmed that she had been subjected to severe physical assault.

Based on the video evidence, the girl’s parents have lodged a complaint at the GDI Metla Police Station. Police officials said an investigation has been initiated and appropriate action will be taken against those responsible.

Class 1 student assaulted

In another incident from Chattisgarh's Balrampur, a six-year-old student was allegedly beaten by his teacher for making a small mistake during a maths class at Jawakhadi Primary School on Friday. According to the child’s father, Uday Yadav, the teacher, came to class drunk after lunch and repeatedly slapped the boy Bhagirathi causing swelling on his face and a blood clot.

The child returned home crying and told his parents what had happened, after which his father filed a police complaint, claiming the teacher frequently arrives intoxicated.
