Releasing the 2025 India Rankings, Education Minister Pradhan shared his thoughts on higher education institutions and NEP 2020. He also proudly said that NIRF will emerge as a global standard accreditation framework in the future.
"NEP 2020 has laid down a roadmap for the development of our HEIs, including improving their accreditation. NIRF has emerged as a trusted pillar in our journey of making Bharat a knowledge superpower. We have to set higher benchmarks in our accreditation frameworks," Minister Pradhan said on his official X handle.
"Confident that NIRF will evolve as one of the best accreditation frameworks, involve more data-driven approaches, include more ranking parameters and categories and onboard more institutions going forward," he added.
Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we are aiming to make a quantum leap. PM Modi has called for Viksit and Atmanirbhar Bharat by 2047. In order to achieve this, our academic institutions have to play a key role in creating a roadmap for ‘Samriddhi’ and ‘Atmanirbharta.’
"Call upon all our academic institutions to become thriving grounds for innovation and entrepreneurship, join the NIRF framework and also aim to transform into most-sought after institutions globally", Union Education Minister said.
