New Delhi: Prashant Kishor's newly formed party, the Jan Suraaj is leading in 3 seats, according to early trends. This is after all exit polls conducted by leading pollsters said that the party would flop on its electoral debut.
One must note that Jan Suraaj was founded recently by poll strategist-turned-politician, Prashant Kishor. The party is up against experienced political players in the state and is currently leading on 3 seats. This is a good enough number for a debutant party.
Jan Suraaj is contesting 239 of the 243 Assembly seats in the state. It is up against the ruling NDA alliance, which comprises the BJP, JD(U), Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) and the Mahagathbandhan of RJD, Congress, VIP and Left parties.
In the early trends, the NDA raced ahead with 140 seats, while the Opposition's Mahagathbandhan alliance was ahead in 100 seats.

The Jan Suraaj did not find favour as far as exit polls are concerned. Most of the exit polls predicted that the party would not be able to open its bank account and win 0 seats. But by taking an early lead on 3 seats in the state, Jan Suraaj definitely seems to be on course to prove that wrong in some measures. It however remains to be seen, what are the actual seats the party manages to win in this year's Assembly Elections in the state. This election may be a launch pad for the future of Prashant Kishor's party.
