Tirupati: A man murdered a woman for refusing his extramarital advances in Maruti Nagar, Korlagunta area of Tirupati, tv9 telugu reported.
The man identified as Somasekhar, a resident of Guttivaripalli in Renigunta mandal, worked as a gas delivery boy in Tirupati and later killed himself.
Man slits woman’s throat for refusing advances:
According to Tirupati East Circle Inspector Srinivasulu, the woman named Lakshmi from Khammam district in Telangana, moved to Jeevakona, Tirupati a few days ago in search of a livelihood and worked at a samosa stall near the RTC bus stand.
Lakshmi developed an acquaintance with Somashekar, who frequently came to the shop for gas cylinder deliveries. The acquaintance developed into an extramarital affair but recently, she refused to continue the relationship. He called her to his room on Monday, claiming he wanted to talk one last time. After she arrived, he slit Lakshmi's throat with a knife and murdered her. He then hanged himself from the fan and killed himself.
Upon receiving the information, the police reached the scene and conducted an investigation. The bodies were shifted to the government hospital for post-mortem examination.
