New Delhi: Delhi on Monday evening was rocked by a blast near Red Fort metro station that killed at least 12 people and injured many. The explosion took place reportedly at an i20 car, and the blaze spread to three to four cars in the vicinity. Following the incident, security has been increased in the national capital and other important cities in the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) Hospital on Wednesday to meet with the victims injured in the blast.

In this article, we will take a look at the doctors who have been allegedly linked with the Delhi blast and banned terror outfits like Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGuH). Notably, the central agencies, Jammu & Kashmir Police, Haryana Police, and Uttar Pradesh Police have arrested in joint operations at least seven suspects, including doctors from Al-Falah University, and recovered over 2,900 kilograms of explosives and firearms. The probe into the blast is now being conducted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

Who is Dr Muzammil Ganaie?

Muzammil Ganaie hails from Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama and worked as a doctor at Al-Falah University and teaching MBBS students. He is allegedly one of the main suspects in the terror module and has been arrested.

Hailing from Pulwama, Dr Umar Un Nabi, formerly an employee of Al-Falah University, was reportedly the driver of the i20 car that exploded in Delhi. He frequently changed locations and was under surveillance. He was reportedly present in the car during the blast.

Who is Dr Adeel Ahmad Rather?

Dr Adeel Ahmad Rather hails from Kashmir's Kulgam and has been arrested over the blast. He also worked at Al-Falah University and knew the above two people. An AK-47 rifle was allegedly recovered from his locker at GMC Srinagar.

Who is Dr Shaheen Sayeed?

Dr Shaheen Sayeed hails from Lucknow, and an assault rifle was allegedly recovered from her car in Faridabad. She was reportedly a close associate of Muzammil and maintained contacts in Kashmir. As per allegations, she played a role in logistical coordination.

Who is Dr Ahmed Mohiyuddin Saiyed?

Dr Ahmed Mohiyuddin Saiyed has an MBBS degree from China and was arrested on November 8. He had a shawarma business in Rajendranagar, and allegedly used Telegram and social media to radicalise people.

He allegedly had contact with a handler named Abu Khadija linked to Islamic State-Khorasan Province (ISKP). Police have reportedly recovered weapons from him and also arrested two of his aides.

Who is Irfan Ahmad?

Irfan Ahmad is a cleric and Imam from Shopian who allegedly radicalised several people. He reportedly recruited people and connected them with militant networks in Kashmir. The police have arrested him as well.

Who is Maulvi Hafeez Mohammad Ishtiaq?

Maulvi Ishtiaq hails from Haryana's Mewat and was an Imam at Al-Falah Mosque. Police allegedly recovered over 2,500 kilograms of explosives from his home. He reportedly provided logistical support, including safe houses.

Who is Dr Sajad Malik?

Dr Sajad Malik from Pulwama has been arrested and questioned. He is allegedly a friend of Umar Un Nabi. According to reports, these doctors used encrypted channels to communicate, coordinate, and move explosives.
