Chennai: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has published the draft electoral roll for Tamil Nadu, revealing a significant revision in the state's voter database. According to the data released on December 19, 2025, the total number of voters now stands at 5,43,76,775. The revision process has led to the removal of 97,37,832 names, accounting for approximately 15.18% of the previous list. Among the current electors, 2,77,60,322 are female voters.
The commission has streamlined the process for citizens to verify their enrollment and apply for corrections or new registrations.
