All eyes will be on Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma when the Indian stalwarts take the field in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25, starting on December 24.

Rohit and Kohli, along with big names like KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, and Shubman Gill, are expected to feature in the first few rounds of India's premier 50-over domestic competition.

Rohit, Virat make much-awaited return

Both Kohli and Rohit will return to the domestic tournament after a long time. While Kohli's last of the 13 appearances came way back in 2010, Rohit last featured in the tournament for Mumbai in 2018. He has scored 823 runs with one century and five half-centuries in 18 matches for Mumbai.

The new season of VHT begins on December 24 with Delhi facing Andhra Pradesh at the BCCI Centre of Excellence (COE) in Bengaluru, and Mumbai taking on Sikkim in Jaipur.

According to reports, Kohli and Rohit will play two matches in VHT before joining the national camp for the New Zealand series, starting on January 11.

After the opening round on December 24, both star players are set to feature in the second round fixtures on December 26, Friday. Their presence has left the fans buzzing in excitement and wondering how much the stars will earn from each match in India's premier domestic competition.

What are the pay brackets in the Vijay Hazare Trophy?

0-20 matches - Rs 40,000 per game

21-40 matches - Rs 50,000 per game

41+ matches - Rs 60,000 per game

Virat and Kohli have ample experience in List A cricket. While Kohli has played in 342 FC games, Rohit has featured in 350 First Class matches.

Both cricketers fall into the highest pay bracket and are set to receive Rs 60,000 for every match.
