KTM have unveiled the 2026 KTM 690 Enduro R and 690 SMC R and is expected to arrive in the KTM dealerships globally around September 2025, though the launch date in India remains unknown still.
New Delhi: KTM have unveiled the 2026 versions of the LC4 range, the 690 Enduro R and 690 SMC R. Both bikes have a heavily recalibrated engine, new electronics, fresh styling and updated ergonomics as well. Still, they retain their distinct off-road and supermotor identities.
Almost half of the LC4 single’s internal components are new, and this includes the crankcase, clutch and stator covers, oil delivery system, raised valve timing and fuel pump. It aids it to make a claimed 79 bhp and 73 Nm while adhering to the latest norms as well.
Further, rubber engine mounts have been brought in order to reduce vibrations, the secondary air system has been replaced with a much simpler intake layout, and exhaust has been reworked with a more compact muffler as well. Throttle response is quite sharp with a 65-degree twist grip, and KTM has even extended their maintenance intervals along with oil changes now due every 15,000 km, which was previously 10,000km. Even valve clearance checks at 60,000 km have gone up from 30,000 km.
A big upgrade in the 2026 variant is the LCD dash being replaced by a 4.2-inch colour TFT display coming with KTMconnect smartphone pairing, USB-C charging, turn-by-turn navigation and music and call controls. All of this is paired with new backlity switchgear and a dedicated ABS-off button.
Rider assistance now includes lean-sensitive cornering ABS and cornering MTC as standard, with the Enduro R adding the Rally mode offering adjustable traction and even motor slip regulation. The SMC R also comes with Track mode with launch control, five-stage anti-wheelie, slip adjuster and Supermoto-specific ABS setting.

KTM have made changes to the chassis and have claimed that the steel trellis frame retains their basic mechanical and structural styling, though it is now much stiffer for better feel, while suspension tuning has been revised to give better compliance.
The Endurp R comes with revised bodywork, LED lighting, new in-mould graphics which have better longevity and a relocated centre-stand mount. Both continue to use WP suspension and a steel trellis frame, which is tuned to counter off-roading and supermoto riding, respectively.
The updated 690 Enduro R and 690 SMC R will be reaching KTM dealerships globally around September 2025, though the Indian launch timelines and pricing are not confirmed as of now.
