New Delhi: Yezdi have launched the updated Yezdi Roadster in India with prices starting at Rs 2.10 lakh (ex-showroom). The new version brings several design features and equipment updates, and even follows the refreshed look recently seen on the Yezdi Adventure.
Aesthetically speaking, the Roadster comes with a redesigned cowl, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, curved fenders, and even a sleeker taillight. The motorcycle is available in four colour options, Sharkskin Blue priced Rs 2.09 lakh, Smoke Grey Rs 2.12 lakh, Bloodrush Maroon Rs 2.16 lakh and Savage Green Rs 2.21 lakh.
Power will be delivered from the 334 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, called the Alpha 2, that produces 29.6 hp and 29.9 Nm torque. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch.
Yezdi also offers customisation kits, hydroformed handlebars, detachable pillion seat, integrated tail-light and turn indicators and even dual-tone paint schemes. The detachable pillion seat also makes for a quick conversion from a twin and single-seat configurations. The multifunctional blinkers double as tail-lights as well, giving a cleaner rear profile.
There are some mechanical updates as well, with a wider 150-section rear tyre for improved grip and stability, a wider rear fender for improved splash protection and a side-arm rear hugger for a sporty look. The braking is managed through 320 mm front disk and 240 mm rear disk, combined with a dual-channel ABS. The motorcycle rides on alloy wheels with tubeless tyres and is suspended with a telescopic tyres, suspended by a telescopic front fork and twin rear shock absorbers.
