New Delhi: Bentley have started pre-series production of their first all-electric model, a new luxury SUV built at their Crewe site as part of the revised Beyond 100+ scheme. The EV is being called the "Luxury Urban SUV” set to debut in late 2026, with deliveries starting in 2027.

Measuring at somewhere below five meters, the e-SUV will come with advanced battery charging capability, adding 100 miles of range in about seven minutes, as per the carmaker and have confirmed that the global prototype is underway. Bentley have confirmed they will continue to sell hybrid versions of the Continental GT, GTC and Flying Spur until 2035, scrapping back the goal of going completely electric by that time period.

They have also said that they will bring a new, limited-run non-hybrid performance model by the end of this year.

Brand’s CEO Frank-Steffen Walliser have said the decision reflects current market demand, noting that continuing the ICE and hybrid options gives customers more choice as the brand goes from electric mobility.

Bentley is continuing major upgrades at their Crewe ‘Dream Factory’ as it gears up for the next-generation electric models. The site is being made into a carbon-neutral and flexible production hub, with a new paint shop set to open in 2026. At the start of the year, Bentley also inaugurated a new Design Centre and Logistics Hub.

This is the brand’s biggest self-funded investment to date and will create 4,000 jobs as the brand moves into large-scale EV manufacturing.
