New Delhi: India Yamaha Motor (IYM) Pvt Ltd, have announced the launch of their globally famed modern retro sport brand, the XSR155 in India. The company also unveiled their first EVs, the AEROX-E and EC-06, which makes, which is a big step towards a more sustainable mobility. Adding to this is Yamaha bringing the FZ-RAVE, designed more for younger drivers.
The new Yamaha XSR155 comes with the next evolution in the premier motorcycle segment for Yamaha. Designed more for modern drivers, it comes with a retro sport concept, mixing timeless design with modern engineering to create a motorcycle that stands out in design and performance. The FZ Rave is made for young rider’s which maintains between performance and efficiency while being practical for everyday use.

It comes with more responsive handling and a better riding experience, and comes with a 155 cc liquid-cooled four-valve engine that makes 18 bhp and has a torque of 14.2 Nm. Priced at Rs 1.49 lakh, it gets the classic round LED headlight and taillight, along with that classic Yamaha look. Further, you get the teardrop fuel tank and traditional-style LCD screen.
Its lightweight, well-balanced frame comes with 17-inch wheels to ensure a nimble and confident ride. The XSR155 comes with four colour choices, which are Metallic Grey, Vivid Red, Greyish Green Metallic, and Metallic Blue, along with two unique accessory kits, namely the Scrambler and Café Racer packages.
Features include an aluminium swingarm, upside-down front forks, and a linked-type Monocross rear suspension, which manage to deliver an ideal strength-to-rigidity balance for a smooth and confident ride across every road condition. It is mated with a 6-speed transmission with an assist and slipper clutch for smooth and seamless gear shifts. In terms of safety, you get dual-channel ABS and traction control, ensuring a secure and stable riding experience.
Much like most FZ portfolios, the FZ-Rave gets the full-LED projector headlamp with an integrated position light, a sculpted fuel tank, cosmetic air vents, and a compact exhaust for road presence. Priced at Rs 1.17 lakh, it is available in Matte Titan and Metallic Black.
A 149 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine powers it and makes 12 bhp and has a five-speed manual gearbox that makes for perfect power delivery, amazing acceleration, responsive performance and brilliant fuel efficiency. It also gets single-channel ABS and rear disc brakes for better safety. There is also a 13-litre fuel tank and a kerb weight of 136 kg, which is a brilliant proposition for the youth.
