New Delhi: BYD India, a subsidiary of BYD, the no.1 New Energy Vehicle (NEV), have announced that there will be a price hike for the BYD SEALION 7 and will come into effect from January 1st 2026. The brand have confirmed that customers who book the BYD SEALION 7 on or before 31st December will book it in the current price range that ensures added value before the price increase.
The Premium pack is priced at Rs 48.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and the Performance pack is priced at Rs 54.90 lakh. Since being launched at the Bhart Mobility Global Expo 2025, the BYD SEALION 7 has seen a good response in the market with over 2000 units sold across the country. This shows the demand for the fully electric SUV in the market, and there has been a strong appeal for the brand.
Mr Rajeev Chauhan, BYD India’s Head of Electric Passenger Vehicle Business, said, “The BYD SEALION 7 has struck a chord with customers across India. It has sold over 2,000 units in a short span, reflecting the strong market confidence in our Pure Performance electric SUV. With the planned price revision from early 2026, we want to ensure that customers who have been waiting to purchase the BYD SEALION 7 can still benefit from the current pricing till 31 December 2025. As we continue expanding our dealership network and enhancing customer touchpoints, the BYD SEALION 7 will remain a key pillar of BYD India’s commitment to offering advanced, sustainable, and high-performance electric mobility solutions”
BYD SEALION 7 comes with Blade Battery as part of the structure of the chassis, bettering the cabin space, handling and safety. It gets an 82.56 kWh battery pack and is available in Premium and Performance trims. SEALION also has a 5-star NCAP safety rating.
In terms of performance, it can do 0-100 kph in 4.5 seconds in the Performance pack and 6.7 seconds in Premium trim. The Performance comes makes 390 kW of power and has a torque of 690, with a 542 kms in terms range. The Premium makes 230 kW of power and 380 Nm of torque and has a range of 567 km. At present, the brand is establishing itself with 47 showrooms across 40 cities.
